Selwyn is a happy and successful school located in Plaistow, East London. We are at the heart of this culturally rich community where we are able to offer purposeful and exciting learning opportunities for all.
Everyone within our learning community has high aspirations and we work hard to make learning fun and relevant to each individual. We all have high expectations of behaviour and this has created a wonderfully positive and calm environment where everyone is respected and treated fairly. This emphasis on a happy, calm and focused learning environment ensures that our children can progress and achieve their potential.
Within this environment, our teachers and support staff are able to support each and every child, which has led to us being able to share our very pleasing Key Stage 2 results on our Results and inspections page. Our excellent results across all areas of the SATS tests puts us in the top 15% of all schools and colleges in the Borough - an achievement we are rightly very proud of.
We are an open, outward looking school, always keen to hear from our children and our parents - both on an ad-hoc, informal basis, and in a more structured way, to ensure that all voices are heard. To this end, we conducted surveys with both these groups, as well as with staff, in May 2018. The output from this exercise is published in the document available to download on this page. We are building on this work through our partnership with Wellbeing Award for Schools, which is described in more detail on our Health and Wellbeing page.
Our school is part of a growing trust in Newham. Current vacancies for staff positions are adertised on via the link on this page, but we are always delighted to hear from competent, committed teachers interested in joining our team. Please get in touch with us via our info address - email@example.com - or click on our #LeadingLearning #LeadingLives - our offer document available to download on this page - of follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
As our trust grows, we are interested in working in partnerships with other primary schools both within and beyond the boundaries of our borough. Interested institutions should click on the Leading Learning Trust - Grow with us document available to download on this page, and get in touch via our info address. A copy of this document, as well as further information about our trust, is available on the Trust Documents page of the Leading Learning Trust website.
We look forward to welcoming you to our school community.
