05 March - Selwyn Press - Newsletter

Monday 05 March 2018

Firstly, a big thank you to parents and carers for bearing with us during the very cold weather.  Once again, we apologise for the inconvenience our school's unavoidable closure would have caused.

Nevertheless, we had a fun and productive week at school.  World Book Day was, as usual, a great success, with a special timetable arranged by our Reading Lead to ensure that books and reading were the focus on Thursday.  Thank you to parents who helped the children with their outfits, which were wonderful (see Selwyn Press for pictures).  We are also very fortunate to be hosting the travelling Book Fair from Wednesday 7th - Monday 12th March.

Whilst no classes managed 100% attendance this week, a number of classes managed to get near to this - well done.  We are grateful to parents for continuing to work with us to ensure that children attend school, without which teaching and learning cannot take place.

Finally, there are only a few weeks to go until the spring term ends on Friday 23rd March - please see the school calendar for details.
