Friday 10 May 2019

Further to the recent fantastic news that we have retained our Ofsted Outstanding grade, it's time for more good news as we begin to see our new Early Years building really starting to take shape.  We can't wait to move in!  Other highlights this week:

  • Our Year 3 children spent time outside in the garden, harvesting vegetables they have gown, and linking what they were doing to what they have learnt about plants in science this term.
  • Our Year 2 children were out and about, with a visit to West Ham Park to support the classroom based learning they have been doing in science.
  • Congratulations to all our winners of 5Cs certificates this week, in recognition for using the 5Cs at school: courtesy, coperation, consideration, care and commitment.
  • I am delighted to share with you that no fewer than 3 classes achieved 99% attendance this week: well done to 2PE, 5A and 6H.  Good attendance is essential for effective learning at school.

I look forward to updating you next week on the continued progress of the Early Years building.  Thank you for bearing with us during the disruption caused by the works on site.

And good luck to our Year 6 children who start their SATs on Monday 13th May; we know that they will do well, as they have worked so hard this year.
