26 April 2019 - Selwyn Press - Newsletter
We were very pleased to welcome the children back to school on Tuesday 23rd April after the Easter break. Everyone looked refreshed and ready for the busy term ahead.
As always at Selwyn, we wasted no time in gettting down to the business of learning, supported by our wide range of visits and extra-curricular activities. Highlights this week include:
- Our year 3 and 4 children had an active start to the term, undertaking a safe cycling course provided by Newham.
- Year 1 were out and about, visiting the Museum of Childhool.
- Year 6 hearing impaired children have been working with the National Deaf Children's Society, taking part in a writing competition.
We were also delighted to welcome Miss Begum and Miss Pyke back from an amazing working trip to China. which was arranged by the london Confucius Institute. They will be sharing their experiences with the wider staff team in due course, ensuring that we retain a broad, international perspective when continuing to develop our practice.
Finally, please ensure that you download the ParentMail app/regularly check your email account, as all school communications are now sent electronically. Thank you for your support as we make this transition.
We look forward to an exciting new term! Please check the school calendar for future events.
