Friday 30 November 2018

As we near the end of a long term, the children are continuing to work hard and to apply themselves in all areas of school life - which is lovely to see.  A few highlights from our learning both within and beyond the classroom this week:

  • Year 3 and 4 children took party in a local dodgeball competition at Rokeby School, where they finished within the top 3 in their group, losing only one the eventual winners.  Well done to everyone.
  • Year 5 worked outside in the garden with Cassie, harvesting fruit from our very own olive trees to make some delicious tapenade spread.  This activity really helped bring our Ancient Greece topic to life for the children.
  • Congratulations to all our 5Cs winners - the 5Cs are the foundation of everything we do at school, and these children clearly demonstrated these behaviours.
  • Attendance winners this week were 2B and 6P, which we also celebrate in assembly.  Good attendance is the key building block of successful learning at school - thank you to all parents and carers for supporting this.

Finally, please continue to keep an eye on the school calendar as there are a number of events taking place in these final weeks of term.
