Selwyn Press - Newsletter - 08 Fenruary 2019

Friday 08 February 2019

As per the introduction to this week’s newsletter, our Facebook page and Twitter feed provide more information, as well as pictures and videos of the events described in this week’s newsletter.

Highlights this week include:

  • Years 3, 4 and 5 were lucky enough to be treated to a performing arts celebration to mark the start of the Chinese New Year on Tuesday 5th February.
  • Our very own Miss Pyke organised whole day of number-based learning, with age-appropropriate enrichment activities available to children across all our year groups.  A big thank you to Miss Pyke for such a successful day.
  • Reception very much enjoyed their trip to the Olympic Park in Stratford, and as usual, were very well behaved.  Thanks to all staff who supported this trip.
  • Congratulations to all our 5Cs and Reading Certificate winners - you are featured in this week's newsletter and should be very proud of your achievements.
  • A big well done to 4C, the class with the perfect 100% attendance score this week!  1N were close behind with 98%.  Thank you to parents and carers for your ongoing support of good attendance at school, which makes a big difference to learning outcomes.

We hope you enjoy keeping up to date with our full programme at school via ParentMail, this newsletter and our social media sites.
