Year 6 trip to Treginnis Farm, Wales: 21 - 25 November

Thursday 01 December 2016

As in previous years, this was a wonderful week away and a special time that both children and adults will never forget.

Whilst on the farm everyone got stuck into the daily farm chores: feeding the animals, mucking out stables, chopping fire wood, milking and walking the dogs. I was very impressed with how ready the children were to try new experiences, especially ones that they were initially a little nervous about. The naughty goats (especially Merv!) soon became very popular and Mylo the dog was everyone's best friend once the introductions were done......

The experience was a world away from a typical day at Selwyn. I hope that our current year fives are already excited at the prospect of their turn next year - click here to navigate to our photo gallery of the trip to tempt you further!

Finally, in case you missed it, there is more information about Treginnis Farm in the Selwyn Calendar.
