We were delighted with our recent Outstanding Ofsted judgement, further to a visit to school on the 14th and 15th March 2019. Unusually, we retained our October 2014 Outstanding judgement: a particularly noteworthy achievement given that none of the 46 Outstanding schools re-inspected by Ofsted in January/February 2019 retained their judgement.
This judgement reflects the dedicated professionalism of our teachers, and the whole school team, which means that every child is supported and nurtured to reach his/her potential. Both the inspection letter from Ofsted, and a copy of the letter sent to parents, are available as documents to download on this page.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the government did not conduct the usual summative assessments at the end of key stage 2 (known as SATS, which are sat by our year 6 children). As stated on the DfE (Department for Education website):
Primary School Assessments - we will not publish any national, regional, local or constituency statistics for any primary school assessments for the 2019 to 2020 academic year. This includes key stage 2'.
A summary of the summer 2019 key stage 2 results at both our schools, available on this webpage, is published below. More detailed information (from both 2019 and 2018) is available in the document to download on the left of this page. Should you require any further information about the results at our school, please feel free to get in touch.
At Selwyn, we continue to work with staff, children, parents, our Borough and the local community to improve our school. Key indicators that help us measure how we are doing are provided below; clicking on them will take you directly to the relevant page on our website.
